Another Giveaway!!!

I am so excited to announce my newest Giveway! It officially starts at 12:00 noon CDT Monday afternoon and ends Friday afternoon, October 18, at 3:00 pm, CDT.

I'm in the process of re-doing the look of my blog and one thing I would like to add to the sidebar is a list of Reader's Favorite Posts. Of course, I can't list what your favorite posts are unless you, my dear readers, let me know what your favorite posts actually are! Maybe its something funny like my fairly recent post, Intervention, or maybe it's on the more serious side, like Goodbye Lazy Summer Days. I'm planning to list 3-5 posts on the list so here's my request of you: Leave me a comment on this post telling me at least one post that you have enjoyed. Every person who leaves me a comment telling me at least one favorite post is eligible for a drawing to win:

A $25 gift certificate to one of 4 restaraunts: On The Border, Chili's, Macaroni Grill or Magginao's! How easy is that? And now you know why I reprinted some of those really old posts-- no I wasn't just being lazy!

But wait! There's a chance to win again! You could actually win BOTH give ways! What do you have to do to win the second? Spread the word to all your cyber friends about my blog and convince them to leave a comment: first telling me a favorite post (you can tell them which one to say) and second that they found me through YOU. The person who has the most people tell me that you sent them here wins this:

Another $25 gift certificate to one of the four restaurants! If you read this blog already because someone told you about it you might want to help your friend and include that information in your comment. But only if you're nice, which would be everyone who reads this blog. ;>)

So start leaving those comments! I know there's a whole bunch of lurkers out there so this is your chance to have your voice heard!

{Do you think I used enough exclamation points in this post?}
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Added Monday at 1:15, just one hour after this posted: I usually get all chitty chatty in the comment section and I can't do that and after only 3 comments its driving me crazy!!!! I may have to create a seperate post to address the comments!!!

{Again with the exclamation points!}

Hello, lurker here, my name is Lorie and I have 2 adopted daughters from China, Kaylie will be 6 in Dec, Amelia, will be 2 Wed, I love your blog. I find you very entertaining and you seem like a wonderful person, I admire your strength. My favorite posts are those from China, I loved those and you did a great job blogging while there, I also liked your Cinderella post. I picked up your blog from Trish's blog, Hannah, Taylor and Hailey, actually just met her in person yesterday, very nice person, loved the girls.

Hi Denise! My name is Sarah and I have a little sister adopted from China! We came home with her in April of this year. I enjoy your blog very much! I really like the posts Do You Think It's A Sign Parts 1 and 2. I like your very first post as well! I started reading your blog after my mom, Carrie, did.

Hi Denise,
I have only commented once before but I read your blog daily. I am not even sure how I found you! It was probably through Blogs by Danielle. I visit her site sometimes because I enjoy looking at all the great layouts she creates. I get super excited when I see that you have a new post up as I love reading about all of your kids. You have an amazing gift with words and a great sense of humor!

Guess I'll get to the point. My favorite post has to be the The Unpardonable Sin because I just felt like giving you a hug while reading it. My heart was genuinely lightened when I read that after all you had put yourself through that day that Jenna had indeed worn her pajamas. You can't remember everything, Denise. Don't beat yourself up about it because Jenn a has already forgotten it. From what I read....YOU ARE A WONDERFUL MOM.

I have to agree with Crystal...my favorite post of yours (other than the Makin' Expresso Photo post which i still go back to read when i need a chuckle!) is the Unpardonable Sin post. Sometimes we can't do it all, or remember it all...and it's nice that there are other moms who look out for each other.

Hi Denise I could hardly narrow my favorites down because you write so good and are so darn entertaining. But I do have to admit that I loved "Mommas Helpers" , and the one about your son and the window upstairs!! I can't find it though.

Love and blessings Kristy

So, Denise, is THIS how you get more followers than any other blogger in the universe? I have created a little mini competition in my head...you're beating me soundly, 17 to 8. LOL!!

I haven't been reading your blog for a super long time, but your "Intervention" post about the trip to Starbucks with all the kids made me laugh out loud! Truly, though, you crack me up on every post in some way...you're a riot!

Looking forward to being official "Road Trip" photographer some day...

Okay Denise, I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite posts. But I did pick two. One is "Cinderella" because it is SUCH my life too!! And the other(s) are the Best Buy series. That is such real life to me. Something I can really connect with!!!

Denise,
I have to say that I love the "Late Breaking News The Hostage Crisis is Over" blog the best. I love all of the blogs about the dishwasher!!!!! It was fun to get on here daily to see what was going to happen next to that dishwasher!
I love reading your blog and how down to earth you all. Thanks for being out there for all of us readers.
God bless,
Carrie

OK - here is one reader, reporting in. I am a grandmother of a SN little girl from Chengdu, now 3 1/2, and a SN little boy soon to arrive from Luoyang, now age 2 1/2. I love to read blogs of families who are adoptive parents, especially of Chinese babies. Your blog is especially interesting, your experiences in VietNam had me on the edge of my seat! And the dishwasher saga! It reminded me of the time I bought a washer & dryer from Best Buy - but I won't go into that. Keep up the great blogging - I usually check in every day or so.

Ok, I'll bite. I read your blog daily and yes the task of writing which post I liked best was too much of a daunting task for me. You see I am not a writer and generally when I do write something that is supposed to be funny, my husband says "is that supposed to be funny?". He is the funny one in the family. Back to my favorite post, I really enjoyed when you aired your dirty laundry. It is refreshing to know I am not the only one with a laundry room that is less than perfect. Christe

First time commenter, long time reader...we'll not technically since I only recently found your site but now read it daily and have gone back and read several months worth of entries.
Anyway, my picks are:
- Intervention because I have two small children and can relate to the hassle of taking them anywhere especially for just a
"quick" trip
- the whole Vietnam series because it was such an eye-opener for me, I wept reading the entries and felt as though I couldn't read fast enough

When babies plot against you.

Don't get me wrong; I think your posts on China and Vietnam are amazing. As a Vietnam AP I *love* them.

But I'm a mom more often than I'm an adoptive mom, if that makes any sense. And I've had that day -- so many, many times.

Ok, so to enter I figured that I had to go back and read a few of your posts...I like the over the hill one...I have way more than just one gray hair...sigh!

Hey, I just found your blog throught Kristen's blog. Kristen left a comment on my blog so the story goes on! I haven't had time to go back and read all your post, but I must say the new post On Where are the comments. That was pretty good!. I think most of us like to read blogs but find it hard to commnent on a blog if we don't know the people. I have people tell me on a regular basis that they read my blog but no one comments. Even family who are miles and miles away read but never leave a comment. FEAR maybe about others reading our thoughts???
Anyway have fun with your blog. I look forward to going back and reading past blogs and will now link you to my blog so I can see when you update!
Blessings

Denise,
I thoroughly enjoy reading your blog. You are a great writer and very entertaining. My favorite blogs were the Vietnam story and your dishwasher saga. You have more patience with them than I would have had! I am a grandmother of a beautiful granddaughter from Vietnam and three wonderful grandsons. You can say that I am addicted to adoption stories and also, like you I love my Starbucks!!

I cannot choose just one post!!!! That is why I did not comment, I like all your posts, although, I have to admit that I'm not as fond of your reposting posts :-). I read your blog from beginning to end, so I've already read the posts that you reposted, and I'm one of those people that can't bring myself to read a book that I've already read. So, there you go, the good, the bad and in between. Did I mention I love all your posts equally????? :-).
