Cutting it a Little Close

That is pretty close, but I have actually driven about 20 miles with my Honda telling me I have 0 miles left!

Have a good weekend!

Holy Crow that was close! I get antsy when I see less than 50 miles left (since you just never know when you will need to run someplace without warning).

Hope there are no more "exciting" moments like these this weekend. Do something "fun" now.

You are brave, I'm like Kat, I get nervous below 50 miles left.

I am so jealous of all of you that have a Honda that tells you how many miles left. Our old van did but our new one does't must have been on the package with the DVD and Navigation!!! That is what we get for being cheap!!! We have to go off of prayer and lucky guesses!! At least you made it!!

i don't have one of those signals, either. i have run out of gas twice! my husband wasn't happy with me, until he ran out of gas once - and he was less and 1/2 mile from home!!

hope you made it to wherever you were going (to get gas, maybe??)

Thank goodness for the comments! I had no clue what you were referring to-I have old escort that uses an old school gauge. ;)

LOL! I'm just like Jules... I was totally confused. I kept looking and looking... Then I read the tags and comments and figured it out. I'm slow today.

Girls, don't worry, I was completely scanning this picture for something I was missing.

Mine just has a orange light.

I drive and drive and drive on the orange light.

Mine currently says 6 miles to empty but I'm tempting fate. Wonder who will win?

Mine will tell me, but when it hits 30 miles left it starts flashing, and says LOW FUEL. I dont go any further than a gas station at that point.

Ah you got plenty of time. The manufacters know that we consumers are dumb asses so they say 2 miles when they really mean 10.

That is unless you drive 20 and then run out of gas while waiting for a pump. Not that I know anyone who would do that. LOL!

So, did you find the petrol station on time??

FinnChick, first of all let me say how much I love that you call it a "petrol station!" We call it a gas station here but petrol just sounds so sophisticated. I think I'll call it that from now on. I just need to watch a little more "Charlie and Lola" so I can say it with a British accent.

To everyone who was concerned for my welfare: this photo was taken with my phone (!!! This is new to me) AT the gas station, er I mean petrol station pump. I don't usually cut it that close because once it hits 20 miles left the miles start dropping at an alarming rate. It will drop 3-4 miles in one mile.

I love that yours tells you how many miles you have left. We also just have the orange light and pretty much live in that zone. It has become an adventure to see how long we can coast on fumes! Not a fun adventure, but an adventure anyway. I am glad you made it in time.

Woah!

My husband makes me fill up when I'm half a tank. Otherwise I get an hour long lecture.

Isn't that the worst feeling? Scott is always cutting it too close when we are on a road trip and it makes me so panicky...
Glad you made it to the petrol station in time! ;)

Honestly I sat and looked at the picture for about 4 minutes before I realized what the heck you cut it close on!!! Actually I looked at it for a while thinking I think we have the same van why doesn't mine tell me that!!! No life I admit it!!

Oh, and you know what... those Hondas can COAST into the station sometimes! Thank goodness there was enough of a slope! (Crazy teenager with my first car...years ago!) LOL! With gas prices nowadays, I try not to go below a half-tank!

girl don't feel bad, I do it all the time. And with the hills around here, that's not really a good thing. A few weeks ago as I was pulling up to the gas station, I started hearing this loud sucking sound and my truck literally just rolled into the spot at the pump.

I HATE TO PUMP GAS!!
