Possession is 9/10ths of the Law

Children are often possessive of their toys, but Emma has taken it to the next level. Emma has become possessive of her clothes. If Emma had her way, she would never change her clothes.

Every time I change her I'm met with this. Screaming, crying and clutching of the clothing item. {Yes, that's her Foofa doll}

And after it's removed, she tries to put it back on. This also happens with some diaper changes (thankfully not all), removing her shoes and sometimes taking her out of her car seat. With clothing and diapers, the hysteria is resolved by replacing the clothing/diaper with the new item. Then it's like it never happened.

I'm hoping this phase doesn't last long or Emma might be only wearing a diaper all summer.

Don't worry Denise. This phase will soon be replaced by the naked phase. Yeah, even though I am constantly sewing her new pretties to wear, Ahnalin would live her entire life in her underpants alone. I am sure that is coming soon for your Emma.

Oh no! Mine thinks it's funny to run away as soon as I get her clothes off and then I have to chase her to put the new ones on. So aggravating when you're running late to go somewhere!

I am sure it will end... not really sure sure since i'm learning too, but mine just wont keep things on... she is naked in like a second flat... kinda the same frusteration. I am glad that I am not the only one that has a kid that drags around a YGG doll... ours is Brobee...

I probably shouldn't have laughed at this post but I did. Wow that face, that anger, that hurt! Emma def is a strong willed one, huh? She is cute though and only a diaper summer? Oh those were the days!

Oh no. Miss Emma doesn't like to conform, does she? She is truly her own person.

Too Cute looking at from this side. I know it's driving you crazy though. I will trade you my 14 month old baby boy who has decided he needs to live outside. He stands at the back door all day trying to open it anc crying. If I give in, he screams when it's time to come back in. I guess he will be a true out doors-man. But damn, in the meantime it's REALLY annoying!!

Why are you taking off Emma's clothes? Leave that poor baby alone! Probably none of this would be happening if you hadn't taken her bottle away from her.........
