Special Project

I have been asked by a very sweet girl for help. Her name is Meggie and she is the sister of a brother from China and soon will be a sister to a little girl from China as well. She loves her brother Carson and her soon-to-be sister Molly and it shows. The photos of her on her mother's blog, Continuing the Journey, show her playing and laughing with Carson and it always makes me smile to see such happiness.

Meggie is doing an art project for school. I'll let her tell you what its all about in her own words:

Help for 'The Teenager'

Yes, I snuck onto my moms blog again.... but this is for a good cause! Art class is required at my school in order to graduate, which gave my mother the bright idea to sign me up for it this year, while I wasn't home. Getting to the point, my class has their BIGGEST project ever coming up! It is called an instillation project, they're very hard to describe, but amazing to look at! This is where I need all you parents to help me! We are to base our project off of a statistic of our choice, and mine is about how many children are adopted from China each year. Now, this project will be up in my school for all to see, it should be about the size of a whole wall, possibly smaller. My idea was to get as many photos of children who have been adopted from China, and to put all their photos inside a large picture of China. If you all would be ever so kind as to send me a picture of your child who has been adopted, I would be so grateful. If you have more than one adopted, the more the merrier! (= If you could e-mail any friends of yours, tell others about it, e-mail your Yahoo groups, etc. I would be so thankful! Remember it will be out in my school, and need your permission. If you could e-mail me at itsmegsilly@fuse.net I would be SO happy!

Thank you so much!

Meggie (=
Thank you!

I would love for Meggie to be flooded with photos!!! She would like referral photos, photos of Gotcha Day, more current photos, anything you are willing to share. If you adopted a child from China could you take a few minutes to dig through your photo files? It will be a fun trip down memory lane. I promise! It sure was for me!
-------------------------------------------------------

Here is where I want to thank everyone for their very sweet words, both publicly commented on my previous post and in private emails. You have no idea what you kindness meant to me yesterday. Sometimes I'm still surprised that after 3 years I can still burst into tears at the drop of a hat but I do it much less than I used to.

I think those who have read my blog for a while know that I'm a glass half full person and I hesitated to post yesterday's post. But my goal for this blog is to be transparent and my days aren't funny all the time. I don't think you all would believe me if I inferred otherwise. Don't worry, my kids will do something crazy in the next hour or two for me to blog about!

XOXOXOXOXO

I would love to help but we didn't adopt any children for China, nor do I know anyone personally that did. However, kudos to you for such a beautiful project!

Thanks also for the comment on my blog today. Tomorrow is my son's birthday and I would love if you would stop by again tomorrow (Monday)and see my tribute to him!

Have a great day!

Denise since Franceska is not home yet , please tell this sweet beautiful girl to go to my blog and click on as many as she wants to get pictures if that is possible, legal or whatever. I wish I could help by sending Franceskas picture, but not yet.
Love, Kristy

Denise me again... in regards to your last post I am sorry that I am so wrapped up in my own day to day stuff that I missed it. First Denise you are truly never ever totally alone but I know what "alone" you are talking about. And no I don't believe that you will be that kind of alone forever, you are toooo good, to wonderfully incredible and too beautiful to be alone forever. You are a gift , please remember that. I think about you always and you are in my prayers. Love and blessings, Kristy

I wish I could help...because this is, indeed, a special project.

p.s. I love you even more now that I've seen the Lost countdown clock on here. Mine's at the very top of my blog and has been there for the past 6 months. Be sure to come by my "place" tomorrow...it will be full of Lost love.
