The Fourth Day of Christmas

On the Fourth Day of Christmas, Denise gave to me:

A Sex in the City Gift Basket!

The basket includes the Sex in the City wide screen DVD, a bottle on non alcoholic Cosmo mix. Its strictly BYOV (vodka) here. Orange is not my color! Also included are 2 heavy poly carbonate martini glasses so you can watch and drink with your BFF. (Poly carbonate sounds much sturdier than plastic) While you're watching and sipping you can also nibble on--chocolate that is! Get your mind out of the gutter! Six Ghirardelli chocolate squares are included. And let's not forget the basket!

I had fun watching this movie with my new neighbors. It's a wonder they didn't have me kicked out of the cul-de-sac afterward. That's why I love my new neighbors!

So what do you need to do to when a basket full of Sex in the City Items?

-- Leave me a comment.
-- Promise me your first born son, or Follow me, your choice. On second thought, keep your children, just send me your babysitters! Let me know in your comment when to expect the sitter, any time day or night works for me.

Comments will be accepted from Wednesday 12:01 am until 9:00 pm CST.

Good luck!

This day is now closed.

The problem with the ottoman is the cushion is FIRMLY attached! I didn't think there was way to get it out. Back when Julia was 2 and I was in college, I did part time kitchen design work from home and I used highlighters when making up the cabinet order sheets. Julia got my highlight and colored on the carpet.(She also colored with crayons. I needed Yo Gabba Gabba back then.) We called a carpet cleaning company in and they said there was nothing that could be done.

Try spraying CHEAP hairspray on the ottoman (think AquaNet). Spray a bit, then blot with a paper towel. It will smear at first, but don't freak out....just keep applying the spray and blotting. It SHOULD take it out. I use this trick all the time, and have used it on my suede-covered ottoman successfully. I use AquaNet on laundry, too, and once I cleaned up a white wall at my mom's house when my son drew on it with red permanent marker. Good luck, and thanks for the giveaway!

Janelle said...

Oh, and I do already follow you around like a puppy. Sad, I know.....

OMG this would be a perfect gift for my sister, she really needs the "laughs" of the City. She has had a difficult year and we are hoping that 2009 will be much better. Unfortunately she is still going to have to take the kids to her ex's "when" he wants to see them and be on call when they "need" to come home.

I already follow this wonder of a blog (I really have no idea how you do it), but I'd send you my son (he just graduated and looking for a job in this tough market) or even my daughter (who just started college) but I really don't think you need another one - even for the free babysitting, somehow they cost WAY more than normal babysitters.

Good luck to all.

Ooooh! This is the perfect girlie giveaway! :)

(and I am a follower..sadly I don't have much to offer as far as babysitters go, I could use some myself!)

Dee said...

Really? You'll take my son? Ok....he was HORRIBLE yesterday...he's ALL YOURS! :)

Thanks for the chance! This would be great!

Dee said...

And...I dont have a babysitter...SO I'll follow you! :)

Great gift. Love it. Pick me!

Sex and a babysitter? Hmmm, I don't know what either one of those are! ;-)

I have been waiting to watch this movie with my best friend who lives 1000's of miles way. We have not seen each other in almost two years and we are still waiting..... this would be great for our reunion.

Lorie said...

Okay, so I have the babysitters built in, my sisters and I all live on the same 3 streets, so when you come to our Christmas party next year, they'll all be here waiting. Girls night out....woohooo!!! and of course I am a follower.

Ann On and On... said...

I am a follower...since I do not have kids...I will take yours :D and no need for a baby sitter.

Have a great day!

OH Denise, I would love this gift. I don't have HBO, so I had to rent all the SITC DVD's and then I was there opening night with friends to see the movie! I'd love to have my own copy

Unknown said...

OH, and because I follow you.........you get a 2 for.........my teens are my babysitters! What day do you want them, they've never seen snow, so they'll be thrilled, for about 10 minutes at least!

Jessica said...

I am not a follower!! Although I have been reading for a few months.

Brandy said...

When this show was on I even had Stevie watching it...of course there were a few sex scenes every week so it wasn't that hard to convince him. ;}

Brandy said...

I have one baby sitter to offer you but you would be better off without him. Stephen doesn't really enjoy babies...I practically have to throw his neice (my granddaughter) in his arms in order just to get him to hold her. Actually that's probably a good thing...we don't want anymore grandkids for a looooong time.

Count me in...as a dedicated follower.

Fun giveaway! I also follow you. I'd be happy to send you my babysitters if I could find one! :)

I will be your babysitter!!! Nancy

Cassie said...

OH, I've been waiting for this one! I have waited so long to see this movie! I am crossing my fingers!

Cassie said...

I'm a follower. I can't send you a sitter though. I don't have little ones that need sittin', and I don't sit! It's not because I don't want to, it's for the childrens sake. I'm a terrific moron when it comes to baby sitting! The first time I heard a little one yell, "I'm reeaadddyyy Cassie" from the bathroom in a Kentucky Fried Chicken, I knew babysitting wasn't for me! Ready...Ready for what? OHHHHHH NNNNooooo!....

I'm in and I'll keep all my "Sex in the City" comments to myself. :) I'm still giggling about sweet Jenna holding the "Sexy" basket. I'm still drinking the Kool-Aid!

What a great gift basket.

I am having Twitter issues right now, so I'm going to recuse myself from the contest (and, shock and awe, I've never seen an episode of Sex and the City...I KNOW I KNOW!) but I wanted to pop in and say hello anyhow.

Have an awesome Wendnesday!

There's an award for you on my blog. =)

I love SATC...loved the movie, too. I've never had a Cosmo in my life, either. And you are most excellent for giving this away, Denise!!!

p.s. Your "screw in the cake" comment made my day...so thanks! And wow, that sounds kind of dirty. Indeed.

I haven't seen the movie yet...

I'll pass on this one, but boy would I have liked to get in on the third day!!! I love to knit and am teaching myself to crochet. Can't wait to see what other great things you come up with. What a great way to spread Christmas Cheer to all your "followers".
Blessings to you and your family!!!

This gift basket is awesome! I have been dying to see the movie. No babysitters to offer, I need one myself. :)

Kristin said...

I'm keeping my sitters, thank you very much. You can find your own! Now, the first born son? Nah. I'll keep him too. He's not so bad----even if he is 14.

Just in from the trenches and dropped by to leave my winning comment from your favorite follower. :-)

Denise,

My babysitter just moved so I am so not helpful. But the basket is quite appealing so if you find it in your heart, add my name to the list! Margaret
